MEET JEN

With a masters degree in social work from Fordham University and over two decades of experience , Jen has had the privilege of working with many wonderful people in many capacities. After earning her Masters Degree, Jen became a service coordinator for the New York City Early Intervention program. She really enjoyed helping families and knew that it was time to make a change to providing more direct care.

Jen then trained in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and worked with children who had received a spectrum diagnosis. She also provided parent training/coaching to their families. In time, she was promoted to the position of an ABA supervisor. In that role, Jen created individualized programs for students receiving therapy, as well as supervised the therapists that were working with them.

From there, Jen returned to working directly with students as a private SEIT (Special Education Itinerant Teacher) and founded her Executive Function Coaching practice where she has worked extensively with individuals who have ADHD, Dyslexia and other learning and attention differences.

In 2013 Jen took some time off to start a family.  Her twins were born that fall. Being a new mom to twins proved to be incredibly challenging for Jen.  She was fortunate enough to connect with other twin moms and realized how helpful and supportive it was to have a network of people to talk to and be truly honest with.

Realizing that others could benefit from this type of support, Jen expanded her practice to include coaching for new moms, started teaching expecting twins classes, wrote a weekly column, Twin Talk and created a blog Going Twinsane to discuss the highs, lows and everything in between of parenthood.  Her writing has been featured on Mommybites, Babesta, and Rosie Pope's Rosie Report.

Whether it's providing executive function support, coaching parents or running a workshop for new moms, Jen believes that all of her past professional and personal experiences have led her to the work that she is passionate about and truly loves.

Jen lives in Brooklyn with her husband and twin son and daughter.
